I travel Australia and ;ast Thursday, 31 January, I came across a some of your members at the Bongil (or Bonville?) Creek in Sawtell as they were going out for a paddle in the dragonboat. I met Fran and Steph among others, who's names I unfortunately don't remember. They were so wonderful and friendly.. and kind enough to let me have a go. I had a ball! My muscles were a bit sore from the unfamiliar exercise, but I still think about the experience fondly. I am really very grateful that I was able to join in the practice paddle. It is good to do things we have never done before - it is so uplifting!
I promised to send the photos I took that day via the website - and found your email address as the administrator. I hope you don't mind I send them to you. I don't know who would like those photos, but could you please offer them to any and all interested. You can forward them yourself or put them on your website or ask people to contact me and I can send them on - or all of the above. I have sent them in medium resolution because of size, but if you require in higher resolution, I am happy to provide that.
Very best wishes and congratulations on your wonderful club. You all seem to have such a wonderful time together.

Most thanks should go to Steph who had to get the boat early as church car park was filling up and also got us all into the club spirit on a very hot morning and did a great job of towing the boat in the parade and returning it to rest back at the church...coments on the parade route as to how well she handled such a big load.. we all of course did our best to look pretty which we all managed well after possibly some hectic night prior ......Go you good thing Coffs Coast....
and Karen S
And Well done to our driver Steph for her wonderful manoeuvering of the float - that deserves an award on its own! Bet that's one of the reasons we got the award...
Cheers to all
and Fran S
Well done all.
AUSTRALIA DAY IS HERE
We are getting together for a boat working bee..
Where: 10 The Grove, Urunga.
Time: After paddling on Saturday
What to Bring: Cloths, polish if can, elbow grease, sand paper etc.
Phil and Fran have opened up their home for a sleep over, swim, kayaking, dinner and during this time we will work on our clubs boats for some long awaited TLC. We will at this time, mirror image each boat with equipment.
So let’s start the New Year with a social/working bee get together.
Please keep the date aside and try your best to come along, as this is our club, boats and equipment. It is your choice to stay over, there is plenty of camping space, and I am sure if you get in early, Franny may have a bed or two left. Loft has gone to the Frost’s already – sorry!!!!!!!
